OK, so as acronyms go BABWOG isn't great but is saves me typing "Becoming a beautiful Woman of God" each time! We had the launch last Sunday which was really successful, with 20 ladies in attendance from our church and at least two other churches. They listened to Val's testimony and her vision for our ladies' group, and were patient with the technology, and had a great buffet lunch (thanks to Carol, Dolly, Barbara, Karen, Hilda, Jackie and anyone else involved in preparing the feast!).
We hope and pray that it will be the start of a new era for these ladies. We are all "works in progress" and I pray that we will be able to grow together and share our blessings and problems alike as God wants us to.
The first meeting entitled "To Know Him: The nature and character of God" is on Tuesday 18th September at 7.30pm in church.

Becoming a Beautiful Woman of God!
In September we're launching a new "spiritual growth" course for the ladies of our fellowship (although ladies from other fellowships are welcome to attend!). Last night was potentially the final meeting before the launch goes ahead and was a success, thanks to God who showed that He was guiding us firstly by getting myself and Val there in the first place! Val got lost and I didn't have the exact address but somehow we found ourselves facing one another in our respective cars and were able to figure out the location between us! More proof that God will get you to where He wants you to be (both spiritually and geographically!) if you ask Him.
More news on the "Becoming a Beatiful Woman of God" course will be available at www.jesusislord.org.uk/news.html soon!

Welcome to our Website!
The Ebenezer Independent Methodist Church in Haydock has just relaunched its website! We are a small church but one that is growing all the time by God's grace.
During our services we often have a time when people in the congregation can come up and talk about their blessings for the week. It's usually tough to get the first person up but once the blessings start there's no stopping them! Sometimes we've had to go without a sermon because so many people have got up to share their blessings!
The idea behind our blog (or "Glog" as we refer to it, being a "God log"!) is that we can share our blessings with a wider audience, because we really are blessed by hearing about other people's blessings! I'd like to start off by thanking God that our website works! I'm not a technophobe but nor am I an IT expert so the only way that http://www.jesusislord.org.uk/ is up and running is through God's grace!
We hope that you are inspired by our "Glog" and that it will encourage you to keep praying.
